Eragon

Eragon by Christopher Paolini was first published in 2003. The author was only 15 when he started to write Eragon and I enjoyed every moment of it!

The main characters in this book are:

Eragon (is 15 years old)
Saphira (Eragon's dragon)
Brom

One day Eragon is hunting in the Spine, a place where only few people could go without some terrible thing happing to them. Eragon was one of those people. As he goes deeper into the woods, he witnesses a wonderful thing... a stone, appears out of nowhere. It is blue and strong. After further examination, this stone is stronger than diamonds and there is no way to break it! Furthermore, this stone is hollow! One night, the stone hatches into a beautiful dragon and Eragon is in an adventure he didn't even know existed! Long story short, Eragon has to take up the responsibility of the Dragon Riders... a legendary group that had been gone for more than 100 years! Join Eragon and Saphira for and adventure that lasts a lifetime!

Inkheart

Inkheart was written by Cornelia Funke and the copyright is 2003. This book was originally published in Germany in 2003 and then later that year, the english version was released. Inkheart is a book about magic and villains that escape the covers of a book one day and are released into the world, trapping Meggie's mother inside. This exciting and enchanting book can be harsh at times but it is a must for readers who like magic and other things of that nature. Try it for yourself!

The Magician's Nephew

The Magician's Nephew by C. S. Lewis was first published in January 1995. This story occurs when "your grandfather was a child". This story is told using third person.

There are two main characters in this book. They are:

Polly Plummer
Digory

This book has a lot of magic in it. Polly and Digory go into Digory's attic which is forbidden to them. It turns out that Digory's uncle is a magician and he sends them into another world- or more like world between worlds- with a ring. They turn up in a wood with many, many pools of water and these are the portals to other lands. They go into one of the pools after marking the one they came out of them and turn up in a palace that is in ruins. Digory rings a bell which brings dozens of wax figures to life! The palace falls in ruins and they barely get out alive- just to find that the lady that helped the escape is an evil witch! All of this and more are in The Magician's Nephew. Try it for yourself!
